What Is a Mobile EKG?
An electrocardiogram, commonly called an EKG or ECG, records the electrical activity produced by the heart.
During a mobile EKG appointment, one of our trained EMS professionals places electrodes on the patient’s chest and extremities and connects them to our cardiac monitoring equipment. The procedure is non-invasive, typically takes only a few minutes, and produces a tracing of the heart’s electrical activity.

Instead of traveling to another healthcare facility solely to obtain an EKG, our EMTs and Paramedics can perform the test at your home, workplace, healthcare facility, athletic facility, or other appropriate location.
Mobile 12-Lead EKGs
A 12-lead EKG provides a detailed view of the electrical activity of the heart from multiple perspectives and is commonly requested by healthcare providers for medical evaluation, preoperative testing, medication monitoring, and other clinical purposes.
Guardian Elite can obtain the 12-lead tracing and provide a copy for submission to your physician, surgeon, cardiologist, or other healthcare professional.
Guardian Elite’s mobile EKG service is an EKG acquisition service. Unless separately arranged, the service does not include physician interpretation, diagnosis, medical clearance, or cardiac consultation.

What Mobile EKG Services Are Not
Mobile EKG testing is intended for scheduled, non-emergency situations.
An EKG is only one diagnostic tool and cannot independently determine that someone does or does not have a heart condition.
Guardian Elite personnel performing the service do not replace your physician, cardiologist, or other healthcare provider. Unless specifically included as part of a separately arranged service, we do not provide physician interpretation, diagnosis, surgical clearance, or medical clearance based on the EKG.
